Abstract :
Two different techniques have been used to improve the power conversion efficiency and power density of silicon nanowire (SiNW) solar cells. They first applied a passivation layer to the surface of the wires to reduce surface recombination, and secondly introduced a Nickel Silicide contact layer to increase the filling factor.
