Abstract
Numerical calculations of the degradation of polymeric insulations owing to thermal aging and radiation are performed to simulate reversed sequential acceleration tests. The aim is to identify testing conditions that produce material damage equivalent to the simultaneous exposure to radiation and heat. The paper also discusses trial calculations and the role of dose rate, radiation exposure time, temperature, and aging time.
