Abstract :
The important requirement for multiservice network is ensuring QoS indexes which significantly differ for each type of traffic. Since multimedia traffic is characterized with high burstiness and cyclic oscillation of time trend, a problem of network overload appears. Its solution requires new traffic engineering methods based on both statistical and prognosticated data. In this article algorithms of network load prognostication and technique for traffic class determination have been developed. The model of the network that is under investigation has been built. This model allows to verify functioning of prognostic traffic engineering system with evaluation of QoS parameters when deploying MPQ (Modified Priority Queuing). A mathematical model for overload prevention based on generation of traffic of messages with different length, intensity, priority and packets count in the message has been suggested.
