  • Abstract
    Digital watermarking is used for copyright protection of audio and video products, hiding information during communicating, authentication, and medicine. There are a lot of algorithms intended for hiding information and the most important requirements for them are collected into special “requirements lists”. Currently there is no strict rule of measuring of the relative importance of mutual watermarking characteristics. This article proposes a technique for comparative assessment of importance of such characteristics. The comparative analysis allows to creat a watermarking algorithm which is robust and has high capacity. The priority areas of application are systems for secure communication and medical applications (e.g. tomograms).
