Abstract :
This Deauthentication attacks have been a problem since the creation of the 802.11 standard and are fairly simple for an attacker to pull off. As typically these types of attacks do nothing more than cause a small and temporary an inconvenience for users in a small area when they are disconnected from the access point they. However, these attacks are increasingly seen as a part of larger attacks on Wi-Fi networks with much greater security repercussions. This paper will investigate both these larger attacks as well as deauthentication attacks themselves; analyzing just how easy they are to implement, their potential security risks.
