Abstract :
This paper presents an array antenna for WIFI/bluetooth access point application. The antenna is made of a four element array. The operation bandwidth is from 2400 to 2480 MHz. The array is excited by a feeding network made of tapered pair-wire transmission lines. Using three power dividers in a stacked architecture, the four element antennas are fed with in-phase excitations and yield an omni-directional radiation pattern, which is good for access point applications. The in-band radiation efficiency is about 67 to 70%. The maximum gain on the azimuthal plane is approximately 5.1 dBi.
