Abstract :
A multi-channel phased signal generator with robust and extensible automatic synchronization network is presented in this work to meet the ever increasing demand for the mixed signal based active antenna array. The proposed generator architecture possesses high flexibility of building up the scalable active antenna system and is validated by the experimental results of a prototype. Furthermore, its application in receiving antenna system is demonstrated. An effective phase resolution of 0.1° and a corresponding beam steering step in sub-degree level are achieved.
