Abstract :
In this paper, design of a shaped beam linear antenna array for RFID reader application in UHF frequency band of 902-928MHz was presented. Aperture-coupled patch configuration was adopted as array element. Fourier Series Method for antenna synthesis was used to calculate amplitude and phase of each corresponding antenna element, thus realizing the predefined pattern by feeding network of power divider. Measured reflection coefficient of antenna array was less than -15dB in 902-928MHz and gain at center frequency was about 9.8dBi. Radiation pattern had a 27odown tilt and 21o half power beam width in the main beam, which was close to the pre-defined pattern.
