Abstract :
The paper presents terahertz performance of integrated lens antenna which is composed of log spiral antenna as feed and hyper hemispherical lens. Designing and terahertz performance of planar log spiral antenna is carried out by FEM which shows symmetrical radiation patterns, 3db axial ratio bandwidth of 60%, and constant impedance through whole band. Lens coupled antenna performance is analyzed by using numeric computational approach using ray tracing inside lens and diffraction theory outside lens. Quasi optic approach so used results in high broadside gain as well as directivity and substrate mode loss issue is also seemed to be tackled. Lens´s dimension selection is also optimized using hybrid method.
