Abstract :
This paper proposes the design of two-way N-section equal split Wilkinson power dividers. 1- to 4-section Wilkinson power dividers using strip-lines are designed and optimized to analyze the trends of VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio), isolations and losses. On the rigorous premise of VSWR≤1.13 and isolation≤-20dB, the bandwidths are respectively 25%, 52%, 93%, and 120%. Especially, according to the comparison, with the increase of the number of isolation resistors, the resistor loss contributes more to the total loss than the dielectric loss and the conductor loss. Based on the analysis, numbers of sections and resistors are supposed to be determined appropriately to satisfy all requirements.
