Abstract :
A novel integration method for multifunction antennas is presented. The proposed multifunction antennas sharing a common aperture consists of a coplanar waveguide (CPW) fed ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna and a UWB loop antenna. The CPW-fed UWB antenna covers 2.34-12.95 GHz and 18.9-25 GHz with VSWR <; 2. The UWB loop antenna is integrated into the ground of the CPW-fed antenna with bandwidths ranging from 2.18 to 2.45 GHz and from 6.12 to 14.3 GHz (VSWR <; 2). The entire size of the proposed antennas is only 40 × 34 mm2. Both antennas are printed on the same side of the substrate.
