Abstract
This article proposes a novel reduce-size circularly polarized microstrip antenna. Slots are introduced in the microstrip patch to affect the distribute of the current, so the miniature area of the patch is obtained. This antenna is fed with a Wilkinson power divider and a 90 phase shifter to generate circular polarization. The antenna was be studied by using EM software HFSS. The results show that the antenna achieves impedance bandwidth of 7% and axial ratio bandwidth of 7.8% at the center frequency of 2.45 GHz, and the gain reaches 7 dBi.
