  • Abstract
    In this paper, a single fed dual-band microstrip RFID antenna using negative permeability fractal metamaterial structure has been designed, fabricated, and measured. The proposed fractal structure is fabricated on RT/Duroid substrate with thickness of 1.5mm and relative permittivity of 2.33. To achieve dual-band operation, the designed structure is inserted between the patch and ground. The dual-band bandwidths with -10dB return loss are 4.3% and 3.2% respectively. The proposed RFID antenna shows good radiation characteristics.
