Abstract :
The antenna applied in a smart mobile phone is desired with low profile and wide frequency bandwidth. Antennas proposed in recent five years are studies with respect of constructure and frequency bandwidth. The antennas are summarized in terms of three types, the metal strip antenna, the PCB antenna, and the hybrid of the former two. Techniques to increase antenna bandwidth are analyzed together with limitations in size reduction.
