Abstract :
A modified Archimedean spiral antenna operating at a frequency range of 0.5 to 1.5GHz with higher gain than the conventional one is proposed. A multi-layer dielectric structure is successfully introduced in the improved antenna to achieve the purpose of increasing the gain. Stimulation results show that compared with the conventional antenna, the gain of this novel modified antenna increases varying from 0.4 to 1.9dB within the operating bandwidth.
