  • Abstract
In this article, a UWB differentially-driven antenna incorporating a band-notch function is proposed. Two symmetrical C-shaped strips (TSCSS) on the ground plane were used to generate a band-notch within the return loss curve for the UWB antenna. Then, in order to improve the gain at the high-frequency band, a TSCSS is added on the feeding plane of the band-notched antenna. The Simulation results show that the proposed antenna exhibit a good S11 bandwidth from 3.15 GHz~12.4 GHz except for the notch band. Furthermore, in the whole band, the antenna has almost omni-directional radiation pattern and the maximum gain can reach 6.12 dBi.
