Abstract :
Tuning mechanism is considered to be a PIM source in coaxial resonator. A study of the influence on PIM by the placement of tuning mechanism has been made in this paper. The current on the resonance rod is used to calculate tunneling current, which is employed to predict the PIM level in a cavity. A method of approximation for nonlinearity is presented, using analytic formula to determine the coefficients of power series. Simulations obtain good results which have a significant meaning to PIM design of microwave cavity filter for low frequency.
