Abstract :
In this paper, end gap coupled flexible CPW resonators at 5.8 GHz on 32-μm polyimide film are presented in order to confirm influences such as resonant frequency and quality factor of the resonator with respect to extent of flexibility of film substrate. To define criterion of extent and perform EM simulation, for the first time, a new bent configuration is suggested. Also, before designing a resonator, analysis between the computed and measured characteristic impedances of CPW on polyimide film is performed as a function of a parameter related to CPW structure. The measured frequency responses of resonators as well as characteristic impedance of CPW on polyimide film are in good agreement with the predicted simulation results.
