Abstract :
This paper presents a high quality factor bandstop resonator working in two bands. It has a distributed structure fabricated in the type of microstrip. The part of resonator is made in the model of composite right/left handed (CRLH) transmission line (TL), which works in its stop band. It is different from the conventional CRLH-TL as a shunt stub which works in its pass band. This resonator has very small size compared to the conventional one. The performance of this resonator is demonstrated in both simulations and measurements. It can reject the frequency in 2.45 GHz and 5.8 GHz with the insertion loss of -10.83 dB and -12.84 dB and with the quality factor of 71 and 116, respectively. The size of the resonator is 12×12 mm2.
