Abstract :
Integrating physical objects in virtual environments has been a major research topic in the past years. The major paradigms in which the research efforts are concentrated are: Internet of Things and Cyber Physical Systems. The present paper is focused on the large-scale integration of the physical and cyber world and the applications that it will enable for Future Enterprise Systems. A new Enterprise System paradigm is discussed: Cyber Intelligent Enterprise and a generic system architecture is proposed.
