Abstract
Within the field of Product-Service (P-S), there is still a paucity of tools available for practitioners to manage their P-S from an “asset or resource” perspective within an inter-organizational collaboration. Existing findings enable specialized ICT personnel to partially operationalize the virtualization procedure of intangible and tangible (I/T) assets [1], though only locally and without the possibility to compose new P-S. Hence, this article contributes in bridging those barriers towards an efficient inter-organizational servitization, by proposing an ICT web-based tool called Assets Manager. It has three main subcomponents being the Ontology Editor, Intangible and Tangible assets Editor and Intangible and Tangible assets Composition. The ICT tool does not solely bridges the functionalities gaps for assets management within a collaborative network, but also enables a wide range of practitioners that are not semantics and ICT experts to manage the sharing and composition of new P-S. Consequently, the tool in question could enable a wider adoption of the concept of I/T assets management for P-S composition within an inter-organizational collaborative environment.
