  • Abstract
The technologies in the automotive industry are becoming smarter and more advanced than before. Complexity of vehicle electronics is becoming a greater issue and often caused by more interfaces, more connections, more displays, more user demand features and more suppliers. This means there is a great need to supply system updates to ensure higher quality and improve functionality. This paper introduces a new solution for vehicle updates that will help OEMs to reduce cost, reduce recalls, increase quality, ease vehicle updates and take better control of vehicles fleet in the market. This new solution consists of updating vehicle ECUs over the air without the need of a physical connection to the vehicle. We are presenting Fotamotive architecture, process flow chart, system components, vehicle cloud management, simulation and results.
