Abstract :
The paper proposes a methodology for on-line monitoring of the condition of the insulation of the bushings by measuring the tangent of the angle of dielectric losses (dissipation factor DF). It was verified by examining the physical model of the bushing in laboratory conditions, including imitation of deterioration of the object´s insulation. The methodology involves signal processing by a computer program (developed by the author and based on the Matlab programming environment). The results obtained indicate the efficiency of the method.
