Abstract
The proposed research focuses on the development of an ambulatory universal 2-electrode biopotential recording device for recording electrocardiogram (ECG), electromyogram (EMG) and electroocculogram (EOG). The designed device will help the health caregivers to quickly acquire the signals in a computer and digitally record the biopotential signals for analysis at a later stage. The digitally recorded signals can be easily sent by email or SMS to a doctor for his comments and medical advice. Hence, this proposed device is expected to help in easy medical check-up of the persons residing in the remote areas and villages. Since the device is compact and can be used for recording signals for longer periods, it may also be used for long-term investigation of the patients.
