Abstract :
For the individual mobility especially in urban areas electric and hybrid vehicles represent a serious alternative to conventionally-driven vehicles. The main disadvantage for the use of such vehicles for long distance is the low capacity of the battery. A quick charging time realized by a high power level of 50 kW (compared with a standard charging station) enables a use with higher drive range per day and for long distances. Therefore the development of a concept for a wide integration of high power charging stations in the electrical grid also in areas with weak power grid infrastructure is an essential pre-condition for a wide utilization of electric vehicles. This paper deals with a control method for the integration of quick charging stations in areas with weak power grid infrastructure.
