Abstract
The paper deals with reconfigurable converters input stages used in multisystem locomotives and high speed trains employed in interoperable European railways. The idea to interleave the converters, shifting their switching frequency, can be a solution to mitigate the power quality problems introduced by the high current ripples. This paper presents the robustness of the interleaving control parameter variations respect to the THD of the absorbed current even if the control parameters are not well tuned. The paper is focused in railway application but the interleaving procedure can be implemented in different real conversion systems, such as renewable generator interface converters.
