Abstract :
The purpose of this paper is to analyze possible strategies for control and management of the LV network (integrating a supervisor control and data acquisition system with future internet potentialities) in order to flatten the voltage profile, to improve the power factor at MV supplying busbars, to minimize the overall power losses and then to reduce operating costs. In particular, the response of the LV network will be analyzed over a period of 8 months, with a time rate of 4 snap-shot per hour (i.e. 23,232) and referring to all different possible scenarios (each of which compatible with the pilot plant control system and power management). On the base of simulation results (carried out by power flow, PF, and optimal power flow, OPF), it will be also assessed the effectiveness, in term of cost-benefits analysis, of the installation in the LV network of a suitable sized electrical energy storage system. The main results of simulations, measurements and experimental tests will be proposed and discussed in detail.
