Abstract :
The paper presents a high level model of a Lab-On-Chip to detect micro-pollutants in drinking water, using an analog hardware description language (VHDL-AMS). The Lab-On-Chip is composed by a micro-fluidic system, a biological reaction and a detection system. Simulation results of Lab-On-Chip model are validated by comparison to experiment and numerical studies. With this model it is possible to evaluate the range measurement due to the biological reaction. Thus the model can be used for the design and the optimization of the electronic and readout systems depending on the measurement range.
