Abstract :
Biometric identification system uses individual features of a person to authorize access control. There are multiple possibilities of building such systems. This study describes newest algorithms of hand identification and focuses on its promising results. Majority of literature sources describes 2-D systems therefore a lot more methods appear in comparison to 3D processing. This paper shows new approaches in biometric processing including 2-D and 3-D systems. Focus is on the achievements of scientists who decided to experiment with fusion algorithms for identification in a single-modal system.
