Abstract :
The paper presents hardware probe emulator which is part of transesophageal echocardiography simulation set. At the beginning, authors describe TEE examination and presents advantages and disadvantages of this diagnostic procedure. In the next section authors discuss way of obtaining 3D probe position using accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer and rotary encoder. In this section informations about filtering methods and software algorithms are also presented. Finally, proposed system structure with prototype is presented.
