Abstract :
While wind power generation develops rapidly in recent years in China, cascading tripping-off failures occurred frequently, which became a threat to security of power system. An online risk assessment for cascading tripping-off of wind farms in large scale wind power base is proposed in this paper. Firstly key procedure of the cascading failure is studied. And then based on relay protection model of wind generator, cascading fault chains are searched with consideration of an initial contingency set. Uncertainty theory is introduced into risk assessment, aiming at wind turbine generators cascading disconnection from power grid. Parallel computing technique is utilized to meet the requirements of online analysis. The proposed risk assessment and early-warning system has been put into application.
