Abstract :
This paper focuses on the coordinated strategy of protection and automatic control devices to improve the power supply reliability for distribution network with the distributed generation (DG). The impact of the DG on the automatic reclosing (AR) and automatic bus transfer (ABT) in the distribution network is analyzed. Each protection in the feeder where the DG is connected is recommended to configure the AR ability. In the distribution substation region, the protection of the inlet line at the 110kV level has to be improved to be configured with the longitudinal differential protection. Finally, in order to take full advantage of wide-area information and make the protection and automatic control devices work coordinately to solve the problems in the AR and the ABT, the control strategy for the distribution feeder region and substation region based on wide-area information is proposed in this paper. Therefore, the outage time is shortened and the power supply reliability is improved as well.
