Abstract :
The world´s first regular 3D broadcasting was successfully launched by SBS(Seoul Broadcasting System), Korea. Moreover, the amount of 3D videos which were produced on HD / DCI format has increased. 3D videos have already been captured with 4K UHD(3840×2160) resolution. As the displays for 3D UHD display begin to become general, 3D UHD is going to be the standard for broadcasting and commercial films. However, stereoscopic 3D movies that are captured by two cameras rig system having two lenses have geometrical distortion inherently. Yet there are much less studies on why the 3D system causes geometrical distortion that occurs visual fatigue. In this paper, the factors that may cause fatigue are analyzed, and a novel single lens stereoscopic 3D camera system which may solve the problems is suggested.
