Abstract :
A synthesizer-free 40-Gbit/s bi-directionally hybrid BPSK-OOK transmission with receiving power sensitivity of <; -12.4 dBm at a BER of 10-9 by the self-pulsated MZM with 150-fs jitter, 7.8-dB extinction ratio, and 2×108 Q-factor is demonstrated, and the chromatic dispersion induced BPSK data degradation after single-mode fiber transmission is also investigated.
