Abstract :
Although there have been a lot of efforts to converge optical access network and mobile access network for reducing the CAPEX and OPEX of telecom operators, we are still seeking to ultimate cost-effective solution for merged access network architecture. So we introduced future-proof optical-mobile converged access network architectures based on integration of PON with RoF technologies and discussed their characteristics and possibility of realization.
