Abstract :
This talk reviews modified uni-traveling carrier (MUTC) photodiodes that have achieved high RF output power levels of up to 1.8 Watt. Discrete wideband photodiodes, narrowband photodiodes, and photodiode arrays and their applications in analog links and photonic microwave generation are discussed.
