Abstract
We study the scattering and absorption of the H-polarized light by a circular gold nanotube filled in with a dielectric material and placed into a homogeneous medium, using the separation of variables. The scattering, absorption and extinction cross-sections are calculated. The computed spectra display hybrid localized surface-plasmon resonances of the dipole and quadrupole type. Analytical equations are derived for their resonance wavelengths and in-resonance near fields are shown.
