Abstract :
In previous works authors have presented an identification model which corresponds to the acoustic response of an industrial plant. The parameters of this model vary with the characteristics of the closed room. The aim of the model is to locate mobile robots in such environments. In this article new ways to simplify the degree of complexity are investigated in order to simplify the robots self-localization process in industrial plants using the acoustic signals generated by typical engines in those environments.
