Abstract :
A vehicle scheduling mathematical model and an improved greedy algorithm coupled with a new concept of subtask time window is developed to solve the vehicle scheduling problem with time window for truck and trailer of port in import and export business. The utilization of the model in Rongji port indicates that the implementation of truck and trailer in port with appropriate scheduling method will significantly enhance the transportation efficiency, reduce the numbers of vehicles and energy consumption, decrease the fleet operating cost compared with traditional transportation mode.
