Abstract
The paper proposes a framework for the design of coordination systems using XML for information sharing in logistics service supply chains (LSSC). Supported by information sharing and active information access mechanisms, an XML model for LSSC coordination is discussed. As XML can provide cross-platform integration, the coordination system has the function of interactive communication across platforms, linking the downstream demand and upstream service supply information of logistics service integrator. By doing so, the information across the supply chain can be shared to speed up resource allocation, better meet customer´s demand and improve service quality.
