Abstract :
Groups in organizations have become increasingly diverse over the years, but the impact may be positive or negative, and scholars do not have a clear answer. We mainly review the 2006-2013 literature on diversity and group performance to study more complex conceptualizations of diversity, especially in which part we suggest a new dimension that is diversity of members´ relationship in the categorization of diversity, and analyze the impacts of faultlines to extend the diversity research, and the effects of diversity on group process in which we have more in-depth insights into the roles of mediators and moderators. Finally, we summarize the research methods and propose a research agenda.
