Abstract :
Based on a case study of GQ, the authors have analyzed the differences and connections between the iPad App and print edition of magazines in ways that open up discussion about approaches towards the operation of new media. In consideration of the recent surge of mobile device platform development for China´s periodical publications, along with the persistence of print edition periodical publications, the conclusion is, that both Journal APPs on iPad, and printed versions, should remain independent of each other and be mutually beneficial in order to achieve a win-win state.
