Abstract :
The performance of pulse compression always declines seriously due to the influence of strong interference and clutter. To solve this problem, a new adaptive pulse compression (APC) method based on minimum variance distortion less response (MVDR) criterion is proposed in this letter. First the received signal in time domain is reconstructed to have a similar form with the signal received by a space array. Then the MVDR filter is used to suppress irrelevant interference and cancel correlative clutter. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method.
