  • Abstract
    We experimentally demonstrate efficient second harmonic generation using a metamaterial-coupled III-V heterostructure at mid-infrared wavelengths. Our approach exploits the large second-order nonlinear susceptibilities of intersubband transitions and the near-field enhancement and polarization manipulation flexibility offered by metamaterial resonators.
