Abstract
The influence of plasma jet processing on acceleration of hydrophobicity transfer rate of contaminated silicone rubber was studied in this paper. The low-temperature plasma jet was produced by dielectric barrier discharge (DBD). Experimental results showed that hydrophobicity behavior of contaminated silicone rubber under plasma jet was affected by output voltage, processing distance, gas flow, etc. The initial contact angles increased with the rise of the output voltage and gas flow. There was an effective processing distance of the plasma jet and treatment effect would significantly drop when processing distance was longer than 4 cm. Meanwhile, the treatment effect decreased with the growth of non-soluble deposit density (NSDD).
