Abstract :
A multiple input multiple output (MIMO) dual frequency planar monopole antenna with enhanced bandwidth is proposed for portable wireless devices. It exhibits good 10 dB bandwidth for return loss from 2.25 to 3.32 GHz, and from 3.32 to 3.74 GHz covering long term evolution (LTE) bands 7, 22, 38, 40, 41, and 42. The antenna occupies an overall dimension of 71 mm × 42 mm. Simulation results show good antenna performance in both frequency bands such as 3.65 dBi gain, 82.47 percentage efficiency, and 22.69 dB isolation at 2.6 GHz, and 3.92 dBi gain, 79.19 percentage efficiency, and 18.43 dB isolation at 3.5 GHz.
