Abstract
This paper presents a study of an improved SubImage based variants of the time domain Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) algorithm Fast Factorized Backprojection (FFBP). Sub-Image FFBP based on Optimal Regional Partition (ORP) (SIFFBP-ORP) algorithm is proposed by analyzing the regional division constraints. It provides a way to solve the acceleration-decline problem of the conventional SIFFBP algorithm when the SAR system has a small integration angle. The result of SIFFBP-ORP algorithm shows that it is faster than traditional SIFFBP with reduction computational time of about 7 times.
