Abstract :
In this paper, a new moment-based method is proposed to estimate jointly the delay and Doppler of a radar signal in the presence of time jitter. This approach diminishes the effect of the jitter existed in the received signal. Thus, it is capable of specifying the delay and Doppler more precisely in comparison with other rival methods. The proposed method is able to predict the power of the noise in the radar environment. The precise estimation of delay and Doppler leads to have a new delay and Doppler-based tracker that presents a more successful tracking in the radar system. A set of simulation results validate the accuracy of the parameter estimation, and also depict the performance capabilities of the new tracker.
