Abstract :
Coded pulse compression waveforms with matched filtering suffer from range sidelobe interferences. In this paper, we consider the estimating technique with side lobe suppression capability known as the linear minimum mean square error (LMMSE) based reiterated filtering, i.e. the adaptive pulse compression (APC). We derive the theoretical amplitude probability density function (PDF) of the APC estimation for infinite iterations in multi-target plus noise scenario. We also propose a model based approach to describe the relationship between the PDF and the environment parameters to simplify the associate calculations. The theoretic results and the proposed model based form are verified with Monte Carlo simulations.
