Abstract :
An ISAR imaging method based on orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP) combined with Bayesian information criterion (BIC), namely OMP-BIC, is proposed in this paper. It is shown that the azimuth resolution has been remarkably improved by the presented method, furthermore, the number of prominent scatterers can be determined automatically in each range bin, thus avoiding the risk of underfitting or overfitting and enhancing the image quality. Results for both simulated and measured data demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
